What is Ultra Box?

The Ultra Box is Astro’s premium 4K UHD enabled box that invites users to change the way you watch Astro. Here’s a few examples of what you can do:

Connect the Ultra Box to the internet and start streaming over 60,000 videos anytime by binge-watching full seasons or catching up past episodes. You can also pause, rewind or fast-forward to all your favourite parts. Why wait or miss the beginning of your favorite shows?

‍Movies, Premier League matches and F1 races come to your home now in 4KUltra-HD clarity. Record as many shows as you want up and watch them on your TV or on the Astro GO app.

What is the Ulti Box?

The Ulti Box is Astro’s newest box with all the same amazing features of the Ultra Box but in HD. Change the way you watch Astro with Ulti Box.

Am I eligible for the Ultra Box?

All existing or new Astro customers who meet the following criteria may upgrade to the Ultra Box:

‍If you live in a high-rise building, please call us at 03-74818000 to check if your building can support the Ultra Box. If your high-rise building allows for the set-up of individual dishes you will be able to upgrade to the Ultra Box, subject to the criteria above.

‍We also recommend a 4K UHD supported TV that is HDCP2.2 compliant to access the Astro UHD channels.

Note: If you do not have an internet connection at home, you may take up the Ultra Box bundled with Astro’s broadband package with rebates of up toRM30/month. For more details and to sign up for Astro & Broadband, please click here.

Am I eligible for the Ulti Box?

You must subscribe to an Astro subscription (NJOI customers are not eligible) in order to get the Ulti Box. The eligibility criteria for the Ulti Box are as follows:

‍‍New Customers‍

All new Astro customers with a monthly subscription fee of below RM100 will be entitled to select the Ulti Box upon signing up for Astro’s packages.

‍‍Existing Customers‍

Existing customers are required to have an internet connection at home with a recommended internet speed of 10Mbps and above in order to upgrade your existing box to Ulti Box.

‍Note:

  1. Existing Ultra Box customers are not eligible for a swap to the Ulti Box
  2. If your existing box is a PVR, you will lose access to all the recordings stores in the PVR

Will I be charged extra on my monthly subscription if I upgrade to the Ultra / Ulti Box?

No there will be no extra charges to your monthly Astro subscription if you upgrade to the Ultra / Ulti Box. You are also entitled to FREE installation of the new box at your current home if you meet the Terms & Conditions.
